Hurricanes is just your average wing spot. There honestly isn't anything too great about it. It isn't horrible though. Once you walk in you can basically know what you're going to get when it comes to food and experience. When my fiancé and I first walked in (Friday at around 4:00) we could not see a single person who worked there. We awkwardly waited by the door for about ten minutes before a waitress walked out of the kitchen and noticed customers were waiting. We ordered a lot of food. We ordered chicken tenders, chicken wings, shrimp, Korean BBQ tacos, fries, and their homemade chips. The chicken, shrimp, and fries were just your average bar food. Not bad, but nothing to go crazy over. The homemade chips were delicious. I'd eat a million of those if I could. The Korean BBQ tacos were complete trash. We, honestly, ordered them as a joke. My fiancé and I are incredibly familiar with asian food, especially Korean. We wanted to see if these tacos were going to be good, but expected the worst. The beef was not seasoned at all. It didn't have any Korean spices or sauces on it. The menu said there was going to be an "asian slaw" on top of these tacos, which was just American coleslaw. So our "Korean BBQ tacos" were just unseasoned beef and American coleslaw. All we could do was laugh.
Our waitress was nice. She disappeared a lot but that's okay. My fiancé and I weren't in a rush. The atmosphere was chill. We beat the Friday night crowd, which was nice. For the huge amount of food we ordered it came out to be about $60. I wasn't too upset about the price. I would come back. I'm not going to order the "Korean" tacos again, but i'll come back.

I was craving wings and didn't know the area all too well.  I looked up the place and it's in a weird string of stores.  You wouldn't think a wing spot would be by a grocery store, bagel place, and the DMV.  I overlooked this place not thinking much of it.

Once you walk in, you get a beach/tropical vibe.  The decor is all summer-y.  I'm guessing they tried to associate the name of the joint to tropical locations.  Not sure how to describe it, but I think you'll understand.

    We ordered:
    -  Mushroom Swiss Burger - a half pound signature burger beautifully balanced with sautéed mushrooms, mild Swiss cheese and creamy mayo.
    - jumbo bone-in wings - 10 wings
    - Crispy sweet potato fries - served with maple pepper sauce for dipping
    - beer:  Blue Moon

The food wasn't terrible, but it wasn't spectacular either.  The wings were a bit tough and on the cold side for some reason.  The burger was good and the sweet potato fries were amazing. The place didn't seem so busy, so not sure why we got warm wings?

I'd like to try this place again and give it a second chance.  I always need a good excuse to have wings :)

Very consistent with their food.  I always get the shrimp tacos but I ask the kitchen coat them in teriyaki glaze which gives it an added punch of flavor.  Their wings are very good and that is usually my husbands dish of choice.  They have wing Wednesday which is a good time to go for your wing fix.  My kids love the quesadillas and mozzarella sticks.  They will also get the wings too.  French fries are always hot and crispy.  Overall, a great quick dinner when you don't feel like cooking during the week.

Went in for a burger and a beer. Bartender would rather hang out with her friends than serve us. Left hungry
